Talent Squandered: Bromn

Altias Bromn would receive a gift. As gifts go, there were very few nicer, this week at least. It would be not one but two fine suits of clothing, very much in the style that the man most enjoyed but with a few ornate flourishes here and there. There was little doubt that they were made for him and for him alone.

With them would be the most pleasant note from Rhaena Burnie referring to three very specific things. The first was his popularity. He had always been a beloved figure in the community, a popular figure, young and energetic and most of all handsome. It was her desire to see him dressed at his very best as he walked around town. The second was what Myrken needed, for this with trained social graces and aesthetic appreciation to serve as examples to others, to help them appreciate the finer things in life and to help spread culture through Myrken Wood. The Councilor for the Arts could only do so much and she wished to enlist him on a more widespread assault on ignorance and dullness in Town. The third was a mild but affectionate rebuke. It was silly for a man as accomplished and talented as him to waste his time as an Inquisitor following up leads of monsters and horrors and whatever else. Myrken Wood was moving past that and he needed to be a part of it. One way was as a cultural leader, yes, but one aspect of that would be returning to his baking, to provide the populace with the most delectable and ornate cakes and treats so as to show them that striving for the finer things in life was its own reward.

There was a place for Altias Bromn in Rhaena Burnie's new Myrken, and it would fit him like the nicest, prettiest glove.
