The Quiet Bird

In the aftermath of brief madness in the Broken Dagger, Quincy was led to the gaol by constable Gerard Gerhardt; she was silent even as she thought of the constable's words back in the inn.

"By the power invested in my by the Myrkentown Constabulary and High Constable Cinnabar, I do hereby place you, uh, the Agressor, under arrest on the charges of intent to do Bodily Harm on another, and said inflicting of Bodily Harm on another. You are held culpable by the Law. Do you have anything to say for the record?"

She was silent then, just as she was silent now despite Gerard's attempts at small talk along the way. Quincy regretted that the constable had interfered, despite her efforts of keeping it between herself and the evil elf. If she'd fought the constable, she might could've escaped - but it was not in her heart 'to do Bodily Harm' on one of Cinnabar's law men, even if she knew that she was right in the extreme.

When they arrived at the gaol, Gerard passed the half-faerie off to the jailer; the jailer removed her weapons before closing her up in one of the cells. It seemed that brawling had earned her a couple of nights here. She was not happy with the situation, but there was no way that she could have acted differently, even if she had the opportunity to do it all over again.

While Gerard went to do the paperwork and take Solena's statement, she sat down on the small bench below the barred window in silence.
