A breath of new life for the Order.

A breath of new life for the Order.

Everything was waiting; the Horde kept themselves in the boundaries in the distance, a Baie who was keeping to itself after an assault on the Tolmers, and a storm overhead that threatened to destroy what remained the people of Myrken's strong will.

The Order, however, is not waiting for such things. The Captain has been under tremendous amounts of fire about his handling of the kindred and "Memories" situation, but in the end all seemed to have ended well. The three spirits and Lady Willowbend saved, and the mortals having pulled out some form of victory without large amounts of unneeded bloodshed.

Some say joining the Order is "suicide", and after many of the previous weeks events, a lot of the guards have adopted that feeling and left with the other citizens. Out of a strong three hundred, it's been cut to two-hundred and fifty. This does not stop the Captain, who for the past week has huddled himself up in the Barracks to work nonstop, and the fruits of his and the Order's labor are ripe.

The new Gaol, which started being built under the hand of Rayin Talioferro, the former Captain, has been completed. A few step-ups in size and living "accomodations" from the old, and this one is built more closely to the headquarters, to ensure that a better watch is placed on the Gaol.

The transferring of prisoners from old to new has also lead to one or three problems. The escape of five prisoners has put the Myrken's Guard on high alert. Though they are not said to be "armed and dangerous", they are still certain threats. No names have been disclosed to the public as of yet.

However, this can not prove to be daunting to the Order. They put them in the Gaol once, what is to stop them from doing it again?

Finances. Whereas the Council has had to place more attentions to other things in the town, the Order has not yet found itself lacking in funds. Outside sources, usually Alexander himself, is supplying large amounts of money--and now so is Lady Willowbend, as a thanks to the Order. It seems that they have found a way to bust through the brick wall that they seemed to have run into.

It is, even through the storms, and the approaching threats, a good day to be a soldier.
I refuse to believe this is as good as it gets.
