Another 'Shot' Fired

Another 'Shot' Fired

The little girl had stepped inside the Rememdium Edificium, greeting Aeri and Khale with a story that her mother had been attacked. Aeri responded by telling the girl to notify the guards - obviously, the healer couldn't do much with just the story the little girl had given. Not only that, but if the attack were still in progress, it would've been prudent to get capable hands working to stop it.

But it was only a story, after all.

The girl showed her true colors by showing herself not a girl at all, but rather a malevolent vampire. One that sought nothing more than death and destruction, another assault in the beginning of this 'Vampire War'. The healer Aeri was taken hostage. Khale was left to plan something to get her back, which was always a tough position to be in.

Help arrived for the two with the doc's entrance to the room. He was in one of the back rooms during the girl's arrival, but it didn't take much listening to know when things were up. David stepped in, threatening the vampire with nothing more than a whip - Khale himself doing the same with his long sword.

Either the vampire was a novice, or the vampire was afraid, but either way he relinquished his trump card, shoving Aeri away, and launched fire balls into the Edificium walls, shadowing away promptly after. The doctor dealt with the flames with all speed, having nothing more to say for it than a ruined vest and shirt, and three scorch marks on the interior of the Rememdium Edificium.

The Doc reported the incident almost immediately afterwards to the guards on patrol, who would, no doubt, subsequently relay the story to the captain or appropriate senior officer.

Khale had called the vampire a leech, and the doctor had warned him not to insult his leeches.
