Germans and their Internet

Postby Thall » Sat Aug 27, 2005 10:41 pm

Well, it seems I am, again, without permanent internet. Turns out I probably went over my bandwith limit or the bank :censored: 'd up in depositing my check and will have to wait until September 1st, at LEAST before I get my internet restored. This is probably because of my webmail account and the way Berkeley forces you to download the entire god-knows-how-many-megs per email-check. Seeing as I had 43 MB in my email, and I am one of those neurotic wankers that loves to check his email 2-3x a day, this can pile up to the 2 gig limit pretty damn fast. :censored: It could not have come at a worse time though, because I have two presentations to do on Wednesday and I have no research materials and in typical european fashion, things aren't open on Sundays. However, I am having a great time despite this one minor bump in the road. Hopefully see you guys sooner rather than later so I can regail you with tales of beer and frauleins.

Long Story short: The lesson learned is -- ALWAYS clean up your email at least once per week.
