Quit Messages for Great Fun!

Wed Jan 07, 2004 12:43 am

Well, last night for those of you aware, Rance flung Jason's quit message into his RP, rather stylishly at that. This spurred me with a sudden comment of 'I want someone to use -my- quit IC.' My silly little thought actually spurred quite the clever one from out dear Heatha` Girl though!

And thus, straight from the head of drowish one herself:
The Quit Message Contest.

Basically, for fun really, we want to see who can use the most quit messages IC-ly. The only rules are not to break character or the RP situation/environment. Can you do it? Who's quit messages can you use!

Post here with your successes!

Hmmm..sounds like fun! Too bad I don't seem to remember a lot of peoples' quit messages!!

So, we can have people post what their quits are here, so people know what to use?

Mine is, at the moment - <Pharris> You're either a sadist or a masochist, Heather, but I can't tell which. O_O

Well, mine is either "Even a single lamp can dispel the darkness" or "Reality is the only word in the Language that should always be used in quotes."

It's either those..or something random..hehe

You want QUIT QUOTES?

Wed Jan 07, 2004 7:34 am

Okay...here's a few that I'm particularly fond of.

"If you think I'm acting strange, I'm just mocking you."

"Why worry? The worst it can do is kill you."

"Enjoy the humor of the situation."

"Illusion and reality are no different to the one experiencing them."

"Today is the tomorrow you were promised yesterday." (try using that one in some appropriate context!)

"The difference between the unhappy people and the happy people is humor."

...and that's all I got, fer now. :)

I've got...

"Fly, you fools."

and

"Where's a good mountain when you need one?"

Or something like that.

Mine is...

"<Jirai> Of course I think you taste good! But eating you makes me feel weird."

Have fun with that!

If this one's bad, it's Dan's fault. Heehee.

This is mine currently:

<Raznakh> Nothing says "Christmas spirit" like slamming a Great Sword of the Whale up the arse of the Lord of Terror.

Wed Jan 07, 2004 3:18 pm

I've got

"Before my mind joins yours in insanity, I'm going to bed."

"Colorless green ideas sleep furiously"

"Love tutar šaj èoren, ale so džanes, òiko tutar na lela. "
...

I know that I have at least three more. I can't remember them off the top of my head.

Wed Jan 07, 2004 3:29 pm

I forgot..I have another good quit message that I use a lot:

"I think, therefore I am Dangerous"

Wed Jan 07, 2004 6:01 pm

The two I use are:
"Do you know the wish of your heart?"
and Kildrummy's current quit is:
"Auld speugies is ill tae tame."

Quit messages.

Right now, it's "I don't have low self esteem. I just have low esteem for everybody else."

This would be easy to use, because it's perfectly in character for Pyra. =P

In the past, I have used -

"Have I lost my love, or the wings I found?"
"Why did God take away the one thing I wanted? Maybe God is the melody we all serenade."
"Welcome to where time stands still. No one leaves, and no one ever will."
"Never trust the northern winds. Never turn your back on friends."
"I tasted poison when I drank the wine of fate."
"Beware the lollipop of mediocrity. Once you take a lick, you'll suck forever."
"Get the facts first. You can distort them later."

And some stuff that I snatched from other people, things they said in chats. I don't remember them offhand.

Yo, I am so deep. ;)

"byee"
"love"
"don't **** with my happy place"

I don't have a set quit message.

But you can always put "www.vyral.com" in your roleplaying posts.

"'How did you win the toss?' 'I have the bigger sword.'"

"Though dark night shrouds us now, light will come with dawn."

"The world is quiet for a moment, the silence broken only by the passing of wind."

"The secret to life, wealth, and true love is--"
