A reminder of respect

Hi, everyone.

I just wanted to make a quick reminder applicable to all of our players, both old and new in the Broken Dagger. We've been all playing together here for some time, but if you're new to us, welcome aboard!

Lately, whether it be to directed towards me or other operators, or even players for that matter, I've noticed a few instances in which our concept of respect for all has not seemed to apply. Many of our players are kind and respectful towards one another, whether it be with in-character or out-of-character consideration, but I just thought that it was time to remind everyone to whom it applied that, just as you are respected, it is important to return that respect in full.

If an operator makes you aware of something or asks you not to do something, they are doing their job. They are kindly asking or reminding you to refrain from something that is clearly against our stated rules, or potentially bothersome to other players here. An operator does not make a statement to bully, to be biased, or do flex their muscles. An op makes reminders make sure that our channel is functioning fully and proper and that everyone is being treated the same and adhering to the same standards.

Remember to be respectful and remember that if an Op informs you of something, it is best to return their inquiry with kindness and respect, just as they would do to you. As well, if another player asks or reminds you of something to watch out for, they are only doing this out of kindness.

To those players who consistently show respect and friendliness towards others, I thank you for your respect. We're all cogs in this channel, and if we all don't work together to make it better for everyone, then it won't be enjoyable in the least.

Thanks for your time!
