I'd also like to say a big Welcome Back! to the oldtimers who've been back in play with us lately, because man, is it good to see you guys again. You've been missed. *g*
Secondly though, I'd like to explain some of our philosophy regarding #BD_OOC -- because frequently, it seems to be needlessly unclear, and I'd love to put an end to that, if possible. *g*
- Firstly: heated disagreements do not belong in #BD_OOC.
We welcome a very wide range of subject matter in that channel, and personally, I love that we generally get just that. *grins* But that welcome ends when the conversation becomes disrespectful, unkind or both. We don't ask that you all agree about everything. We're not going to play Thought Police and suggest that you need to adjust your opinions at all: you're adults, most of you, and that's up to you. We simply ask that conversations like those are taken to private messages with the other player(s).
- Ops will very seldom break up an argument publically.
- Both sides of an argument are almost definitely being spoken with.
Please don't fear that only one person is being addressed: an argument generally requires at least two players, and both of them will be asked to take their disagreement out of the channel.
I hope that this helps to clarify our procedure a little, but if you've any questions, do remember that you're always welcome to pop into #BD_Ops with them -- or, of course, to drop our ops a message via these forums.
Thanks for reading! *g*
