I'm forwarding this from my #Camelot list to let any of Wenndolyne/Diana's
friends on Starchat know. The writer is Ernie, aka e, who was the Typist
behind the Camelot bot Chamberlain:

It is with the deepest and most heartfelt sadness that I announce the passing of our friend, Diana Probus. Diana is finally resting after battling complications associated with her struggle with cancer. Beloved friend and mentor; wife, daughter and aunt; teacher, author, poet and philosopher - Diana will be truly missed.

Diana was born the oldest of five children on June 9, 1957, in Lexington, Kentucky, where she lived for the first 35 years of her life. She is survived by her husband, Rex, her many loving family members, including her grandmother, parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind those of us who considered her part of our own families.

To Camelot, she was Wenndolyne, Keeper of Camelot, a kind, gentle, loving and forgiving soul whose optimism would fill a room and make any newcomer feel welcome. That is how we will remember Diana.

Diana joined Camelot in 1997 and was the heart of the channel for many years. Her level guidance kept the channel together during dark times and she came to define the ideals for which Camelot still stands.

I first met Diana on May 23, 1997. That chance meeting would lead to years of an incredible friendship that I will always cherish and, now, will profoundly miss. She has always been and will continue to be the Wenndolyne to my Simon.

It was Diana’s wish that her ashes be scattered into the Mississippi River. A memorial service will be held in Lexington, Kentucky, with her friends and family coming together in support of one another.
In lieu of a response to this email, please feel free to record your thoughts, prayers, memories and condolences on the memorial blog set up for Diana. To post to that blog, send an email to 2write2.diana@blogger.com

Bill,

Thank you for letting us know. The dedication blog is thoughtful and beautiful (what a serene painting!) Reading that, and your announcement which is incredibly touching, makes someone who hardly knew her smile. Thanks for sharing her with us. I can appreciate how well you think of her.

Hugs,
Wendy
