a merry 4th...

... to you all, closely remembered and cherished as you are. opportunity has not knocked, but pounded on my door for two months and this has kept me away. keep your fingers crossed and your small farm animals ready for sacrifice that i might be capable of coming back soon. lex, i leave you specifically in charge of this.
but in the meantime...
a happy weekend to all us yanks celebrating this independence day (its significance is evidently debatable to some, as i recently learned from a drunk liberal in a nightclub). whatever. it's opportunity for us pyros to start fires, bbq, drink beer. a great reason to jump in the river when it's 105 degrees in the shade. and oh yeah, to blindly appreciate our numerous liberties and wonder where our stimulus checks went!? did i spend that meager sum already? oh yeah, i totally did and on nothing useful to the economy. oops. and i call myself an american.
be safe, everyone, and i will surely see you very soon. i leave you with a word of advice, ye of the reckless male gender. having worked in the emergency room, i learned this at christmas time: never substitute a pants' pocket for a bottle when lighting rockets, because, you see, cloth and flesh tend to burn... i say no more.
good day!
