... but don't change your e-mail address.
Really. :o

It looks like we've a fix for the SQL/vBulletin that does not involve upgrading the entire forum structure: your control panel now functions again, and all it required was two carefully-inserted parentheses, rather than a time-consuming and potentially catastrophic* database rehaul. That's something that we'll have to do at some point, but there are other priorities that come before it.

Being uh, priorities and all. :beware:

*Likelihood of catastrophe may be overstated for sake of :headbang:

POO.

Because I tried to do that--changing my e-mail. The e-mail I had is dead. Long live the new e-mail.

Sorry, Lex. Did I err? :(

The problem is with a malfunctioning e-mail verification system. If you're not having any difficulties with your account after changing its e-mail, then there was no error at all! *grins*

Does that means it's fixed?

Apparently not for me. :(

Unless I have to log into Hotmail to see, I haven't been getting messages saying y'all were posting on here since I updated my e-mail address.

POO.

:(

Edit: Lemme make that make more sense. I have Outlook Express set up to check Hotmail without logging into Hotmail, but it doesn't always get EVERYTHING, it seems.

Okay, so this is not good. I tried to register Altias again, and am having the same error as changing my email address. Thoughts?

I will have a look at the database as soon as I can: my hope is that I can trick the forum into thinking that some emails have already been verified, until I can update the thing completely. I'd just like to run a backup before I do that, just in case I break the whole damn thing. *grins*
