A known pervert, and a man of cheeky expressions; Suede has a terrible habit of simply appearing near someone and starting a conversation. No one is entirely sure how he manages the act.
Suede Roschen started his life in [[Myrken Wood]] as the resident premiere tailor, earning a quick source of revenue by obtaining [[Aloisius Treadwell]] as his first customer. He slowly expanded his business into the greater portion of the town's population while using it for a cover-up to a secondary busines.
Mr. Roschen is the rumored organizer of a [[Black Market]] within the borders of [[Myrken Wood]] and more recently beyond.
He also has a son by the name of [[Tsoss]], given to him by [[Jirai]]. Despite his mother's apparent lack of concern for the child, as is common with the drow, he adores it. The baby is possibly the only thing known that can bring out Suede's kinder side, but he can still be seen attempting to teach it how to hold a knife at its young age.

Suede isn't a fighter, having next to no skill in the art. [[Jirai]] eventually insisted he learn after a near death experience at the hands of [[Dante]], a drow hunter that had used Suede as bait for the drowess. Since that point he's learned continuously through the drow how to handle simple bladed weapons, and hand to hand combat. He's taken a far greater interest in the use of poisons, mixing his own more often then not. Known to always carry some concoction on his person, it's also rumored he takes his own poisons to build immunities.

At curren the tailor is working on the [[Judiciary Council]] as Councilor of Agriculture, and looking for a certain 'friend' of his he owes a favor. He is known amongst a small few for having a significant number of contacts and information supplies, and quite possibly spies, which keep him further abreast of local activities than most.
The exact origins of this unscrupulous order are rather vague, but it is believed they truly started as little more than a ring of dealers in less than legal goods. And of course, stolen artifacts of various nature. These days however it would seem they've managed to dip their fingers into most every aspect of the shadowy world that ignores the law.
At current it's rumored they indulge in theft, murder, gambling, illegal substances, weapons trades, fencing, information sales, protection deals, and anything else which may turn a profit.
Exact membership is hard to determine, with so many working deals with the Market, yet not truly claiming any allegiance to who they are or how they work. It's whispered about rather regularly that there are requirements to inserting yourself into this proverbial thieves guild, including some modicum of trust with current employees.

Most dealings of any import are handled off the streets, in private meeting locations set up by the Market itself, but for lesser intrigue they are often found fleshing out their deals within the walls of various seedy taverns and bordellos within the town proper.
The actual number of people that could count themselves among the Black Market's ranks is up for debate. They don't like to share such information, not even with eachother, and as such it's likely that only those sitting on the top rungs know for sure. It's rumored their numbers may be anywhere from several hundred to over a thousand, depending on who you ask and how drunk they are.
They are rumored to employ at least one [[troll]].
So who trains the rats and makes them dance? The popular assumption, thanks to the slander of one [[Thomas Daniels]], the former Captain of the [[Order of Straka]] (Myrken Wood's previous Guard Unit)), ran an investigation in which he placed the primary suspect as one [[Suede Roschen]], the Councilor of Agriculture. The results of this investigation did end with Mr. Roschen admitting to having been involved on a small scale in exchange for the front money he needed to start his tailoring shop. Further involvement has never been established and seems unlikely, as many of the underworld assure folks that the tailor is far too much 'a ninny', and Captain Daniels always had a certain distaste for the Council.

At current the identity of the man conducting the orchestra is unknown, though a shorter gentleman with a thick cloak and covered face common to Market Garb has been seen making a more open organization of activities in the stead of four subordinates commonly used. He's believed to be the puppet master, but none have been able to learn more.
Jack Hickensen was a long-time Sergeant for the [[Order of Straka]], and did his duties well. He became a friend to [[Thomas Daniels]], providing a sympathetic ear to the heat the Straka Captain constantly took. He and [[Janis Williams]] were often called to investigate some of the weirder killings around [[Myrken Wood]].

Hickensen was abducted by assailants declared agents of [[Suede Roschen]] by Captain Daniels when he had accused the Councilor of involvement in the [[Black Market]], who tortured him for information and ultimately threw him off a roof to his death just outside the Straka [[Barracks]] - not before the brave soldier was able to partially write Suede's name on his back with the blood from his severed fingers.

This, though seen by Councilor [[Kerrak Al'nerun]] before Hickensen was cleaned up and buried, was largely ignored by the [[Judiciary Council]] when Daniels was making his case against Roschen..
