The twisted mind behind Mongo, aka Steve, aka El Stevo, aka Lemmingness, aka Hey You, is typing this in the twenty minutes he has before he has to leave for karaoke. Stop laughing.

Steve is currently exiled to Canada's capital swamp pursuing a Masters in Chemistry at the University of Ottawa, and is this | | close to submitting his thesis. For those that care, it involves the photogeneration of silver nanoparticles in magnetic fields.

Steve's actually from British Columbia (which is nowhere near French Columbia), and misses his mountains and semi-desert and reasonably-cold winters.

Steve first exposure to this whole swords and sorcery schtick was playing Hero Quest at a friend's house in Grade 7 way back in 1993. This progressed to AD&D at a different friend's house in Grade 10 (1995 or so) and online roleplaying on dalNet in Grade 11ish (1997). Steve discovered FFRP in The Laughing Dragon, and soon moved on to The Silver Blade Tavern, and created the immortal, endearing, incredibly sexy Mongo. So memorable was Mongo that when Steve showed up out of the mists of cyberspace years later in a different channel on a different network, people still remembered ol' Mongo. (Fun fact: Mongo was created completely by accident 'cause a notice from one of the network services showed up in the wrong window).

Where was I? Oh yeah...during his TSBT tenure, Steve was made an Op by Founder fiat (I'm still not entirely sure what happened), then migrated to Darkshade Hall after some unpleasantness involved coups and channel registration and some things I didn't really understand at the time. Apathy kicked in, combined with Steve moving away for eight months to work coop and leaving the computer behind. Serendipity, however, struck in a comment thread on someone's LJ, and Steve was persuaded to rejoin the insanity *waves at Channe*.

Steve currently has no active permanent characters other than Mongo (who doesn't really count), but Goethite and Lemmus (long stories, don't ask), have both been seen around the tavern. Hopefully they'll grow beyond one-joke caricatures.

OK, must dash, prettier version of this some time later. I should really register here, too.
