Revania Rin`arie, the nymphlike daughter of Heath's untamed southern wild. The Elf's little form is ethereal and dreamlike, the flawless manifestation of her name. Her timid nature and childish tendencies are as skittishly fragile as any wide-eyed pale doe. She is a tiny thing most often skirting open places for the sensitive comfort of quiet corners, a black-and-white vision of downcast eyes and the wispy flow of silk.

The Elf
Reverie is small as a child, a creature the epitome of delicate, porcelain china-quality. A dreaming innocent of ether-potent mind beneath flouncing doll-curls of obsidian. Her dainty face mingles a cherubic roundness with the Elfin lines of elegance, so often demure and blushing; a dimpling rosebud mouth; long and sleek earpoints to further accentuate her heritage; birdlike bones supple in a petite build. Yet for all the artistic crafting of features, individually pert and exquisite, the sum of delicate parts creates a portrait face that is, at most, classically plain. Leave her willow-slender as one of the fae-blood, graceful in the Romanesque tunics she prefers, modest even in their slight length and gossamer appearance.

The quiver of arrows beneath her velvet cape is alternately a bouquet of sharpened bolts and stunningly-bright wildflowers. For she will forever be that mix of springtime child-woman and wild captured female. Those who know her will become witness to tempestuous conversation either as fleeting and darting as a tiny stormcloud, or dulcet and maidenly as any creature of the ether. And perhaps they will come to know the drifting, pure spellwork of her silvery lullabies.

She is like a tiny rabbit often huddled beyond searching glances, white fingers clutching to hemlines, tender smiles the companions of fearful pale-crystal eyes. Since she has taken residence in the upper rooms of the Broken Dagger, she is most often seen as the flitting specter-haunt of the corridor, a black-ringleted doll-statuette perched at the foot of the stairs, waiting.

History
From a foundling, she was the innocent allure of a seraph; endeared to the tyrant who claimed her for the simple mesmeric lilt of her nature. He found it to be decadent capture of Elvish prize; one of the breeder-women had borne her only to leave her toddling and crying in his sanctum. Such was the degenerate custom of the lowborn, the sacrificial offerings of infant-flesh. But she is one who grew to budding femininity and inquisitive, virtuous purity wrapped in the tutelage and airy, dulcet glitter of powerful civilization.

Addicting, then, to have this one's vulnerable teacup chin pressed to a royal knee, the nearness of her countenance's naive adoration. Hedonistically he trained frail young hands in the art of archery, the deadly beauty of fairy-arrows. It was compellingly obsessive, too, to teach her the work of lutes and harps, to create a timid symphony of delicious sound from her divine aural melodies. Her very body, fragile essence, and preciously gentle spirit are now the dainty commodity of her province's highest Warlord, her hypnotic talents his wizard-magic to wield.

Her lot is one of slavery, of possessive silver chains, obedient decorum, and powerful bonds. Her south-country Elf-kind are those bred to be property in subjugation.

And her Myrken Wood errand is one most peculiar, and decidedly morbid.

In Amasynia
- Her arrival in the company of one roguish Kaelum was enchantingly innocent at first glance. However, as with all things in time, the truth of the travelling Elfling and her comrade is now being questioned, and answers remained locked on a timid tongue. Even the Drow abductor Audmathus took particular interest in Reverie's curious situation, but for his inquisition had nothing from her.

- In demoness Lokelei, there is a simultaneous bond of admiration and hatred. Where one loves in innocence, the other despises due to chaotic nature; the same nature, perhaps, which ultimately ended in Lokelei's half-soul transmogrified to Reverie's own, and the demoness's dream-eating sire lingering within both. But how to harnass a creature of power? A slave made mistress to another being is quite the fickle situation; ultimately benefiting both in its uses, but pleasing neither.

- Even childlike purity will forever find a way to become tainted. In fits alternating between sadism, insanity, and desperately-fed infatuations, the Kindred Prince lays claim to Reverie and beloved foster-sister Alli, taking both as degenerate daughters. Motherless, they flock. Intermittently adored and punished, children of the most secretive and reclusive Lady of the Requiem Curae are bound to her blood, her shadows, and her purpose. And when in doubt, it is better to bury them alive.

- A young one now made vessel of Audmathus's dark intentions: to resurrect the slain high priestess, Avel is set to bear in Reverie's womb, a concoction of blood magics and demonic assistance. Methods and meanings are so very little in the end, when there is a quickening to consider. Yet none but the "black prince" himself knows the exact purpose of the child growing within the breeder; the Elfling, in her ignorance, knows only... happiness.

Little is known about who Gerard De'Santiago really is, other than a self-proclaimed freedom-fighter for Myrken Wood against what he proclaims is a corrupt and diseased body of government.

The man himself is not physically imposing, standing of average height and of average build, though he seems skilled enough with his sword to hold ground with the likes of Kerrak. The leader of The Hand of Myrken, he is seen always dressed in the militia's colours, which consist primarily of blue, with white to offset it. The aspect that holds him appart from the common soldiers is simply the rather large, flamboyant hat he chooses to wear.

There have been several families who have spoken for Gerard, claiming to have long known his family, and thus Gerard, further tying him legitimately to Myrken Wood. His claim of a common blood implies a simpler life before his current role, and with such an explination as to why his name was previously unknown within the city.

However, two questions remain: how does a commoner know enough to build and train an army, and what will come after the realization of Gerard's proclaimed goals?

After a confrontation by the consellors of the time during a meeting, Gerard De'Santiago vanished, his camps left in disarray without the charismatic leader to guide them. For several weeks the ranks were maintained. Numbers slowly dwindled as time passed, and when the government changed, the Hand was disbanded. It's desire, after all, had been acheived even if it had never once moved to enforce it.
* Weeks after a brutal double murder in a lone stable, terror returned in a new guise. Guards were summoned for shrieks and screams of wild animals. The scene the guards came upon was one of gruesome horror. Only skeletal remains and blood were found of a groom and the horses being kept within, the flesh scoured clean by small teeth. A few corpses of corrupt, mutated rats were found, left partially eaten. --Sadism 13:21, 21 February 2007 (PST)

* Late night, February 13, Aloisius Treadwell found himself stumbling through the kitchen in search of supper. His subsequent fall smashed the cellar door and sent him toppling downstairs into the quicksand filled cellar. Ignas Demonsbane and Ariane Carnath-Emory scurried into motion to help him, and as of February 14, Aloisius lies in the Rememdium Edificium under Dr. D'Rael's care, his body one big, aching bruise and his feet and legs bandaged and aching thanks to Ignas's claws and the rope used to tug him unceremoniously upstairs. --Treadwell 08:55, 14 February 2007 (PST)

* Very early morning (2am) last Thursday, February 8th, the body of a brutally murdered and dismembered man was found in an alley two blocks from his home downtown. The details of the murder are being kept from the general public, but it is believed the suspect is at large. The two women living with him were visited by a priest of the One God, who offered to harbor them within the Church. His offer was accepted, and they were escorted there; the priest has not been seen since, though the women remain at the Church until they can find another place to stay.

* Late Tuesday evening saw the attempted arrest of one Michael Renne, an attempt abandoned following a turbulent clash of psionic energies. --Carnath-Emory 21:39, 6 February 2007 (PST)
* Tuesday evening, guards were summoned to a residence for reports of screams by concerned neighbours. The sights that greeted the guards left some a little shaken. The details of the scene are being kept under wrap, but rumors have spread that a man and woman were brutally attacked. The man was found alive and transported to the Rememdium Edificium for emergency care. The Hand is lead and founded by Gerard De'Santiago, and thier proclaimed purposed is to oust a corrupt government that seems to fraternize with the Drow threat, as well as full of internal conflicts and disease.
* Locals may have noticed some changes over at the Rememdium Edificium. Doctor D'Rael has left Myrken Wood to return to his homeland, and now the hospital has been left in the hands of his nervous, but dedicated workers: Janessa, Bryce, and Raziqa. -- Rattrap, 4/10/06

* Following the destabilization of Myrken Wood's government in the past half year, the Order of Straka has effectively disbanded with the resignation of Captain Thomas Daniels. Councilor Kerrak al'Nerun has been quick to pick up the pieces, introducing the Brotherhood of Janerio to take Straka's place, even taking in Straka guardfolk who still wish to serve. -- Rattrap, 4/10/06

* Notes and signs have been popping up all over Myrken Wood speaking out against Myrken Wood's political leaders as well as the current governmental situation, including the disbanding of the Order of Straka and the coming of the Brotherhood of Janerio; the notes have all been signed "People of Myrkenwood." -- Rattrap, 4/10/06

* There's been a series of pick-pocketings going on in broad daylight. People have had their purses snatched in the marketplace areas, yet still have not been able to pin down the culprit. So far, no one has been hurt nor any property damaged. -- Pipkin, 4/15/06

* The mutilated body of Governor Altias Bromn was found some time ago, the injuries so severe as to leave it almost unrecognisable. A new Governor has not been selected -- and with the loss of three Councilors, Myrken Wood is without substantial leadership. -- Carnath-Emory, 4/15/06

* Strange noises have been heard in one of the rooms of the Broken Dagger late at night, accompanied by the smell of mint lately. Muffled screams (female-sounding), sounds of impacts, and metal upon metal may occasionally sound out. Nothing ever too loud, though. -- Ignas Demonsbane, 4/19/06

* Continued sightings of dark elven patrols have evaded anything but gaze at various, more underpopulated points of Myrken Wood. Although no more further reports of murder have come as a result, their presence continues to grow more formidable and threatening. -- Rance, 4/20/06

* A string of kidnappings have been plaguing the whispers of Broken Dagger tavern-goers -- most notably, the guard D'ran, and the newcomers Kaelum and his elven compatriot Reverie have been said to be missing. Also: Broken Dagger owner Molly O`Neill and her betrothed Mikhail have both gone missing, most notably since the demands that drow inquisitors Audmathus and Faeryl made to have some journal or book of import returned to them. Some believe that Mikhail himself has gone alone to retrieve his beloved soon-to-be-wife. -- Channe, 4/20/06

* Tsoss, the baby of councilor Suede Roschen and the drow Jirai is also rumored to be missing, though many believe that Jirai herself had something to do with this particular kidnapping. -- Rance, 4/20/06

March, 2006 -- Current Events

* The Broken Dagger has been host to an unseen creature for the past few months. Endless numbers of 'zombies' in the likeness of others have been attacking patrons and tavern staff recklessly and without any other obvious cause than to feed. While no apparent headway has been made combatting the creature, a group has come to learn a means of combatting It, lead by Arcadia Silverwind. 3/21/06 - Submitted by Rattrap

* Drow have appeared in Myrken Wood in great numbers in the recent months. They have attacked the town at large on multiple occasion, including a night raid and the poisoning of Myrken's children. They have been more frequently active in the Broken Dagger, where officials like Councilor Kerrak al'Nerun and Captain Thomas Daniels have tried to stop them, without success. Among the Drow's new faces is that of Myrken's long-thought-defeated villain, Audmathus. 3/21/06 - Submitted by Rattrap

* Myrken Wood's Council has been quiet recently, with only Councilors Kerrak al'Nerun and Giscard Guillaume active. Suede Roschen is evidentially in hiding after accusations made by Captain Thomas Daniels, Altias Bromn is believed to be dead (much more strongly, this time), and Aloisius Treadwell is rumored to have turned into King Richard Aengus, the Fairy King of New Hiberia.
