==Description==
Hokwing is a very tall, lithe form of a half-dragon with silver-fair hide. One might think of a half-dragon as bulky, think, and scaled; however, Hokwing debunks those assumptions to favor the form of a cat-man rather than lizard-man. Those who don't find him outright monstrous or to be feared may marvel at how the combination of human and dragon could create something both feral and handsome at the same time.


Hidden well by his generally optimistic and laid-back disposition is the fact that Hok seems to be built as much of a tool of death as any other wild creature: carnivorous teeth, talons, claws, ivory-like horns, and a kind of physical conditioning that you don't find in civilization. 


Hok was born from a human mother and thus is mammalian in nature: there are no scales, only a pale hide covered by a very thin layer of silver hair much like a human's epidermis. This gives an illusion of a silvery tint, especially in direct sun or moonlight. His hair is a brilliant silver and when in civilized lands he keeps it short and spiked, parted on each side of his head slightly by his bone-white horns that curve gently back after originating just over his temples. His ears are similar to that of his father's kind but are easily mistaken as elven but there is no doubt of his heredity as he certainly has a snout, maw, and jade draconic irises sitting in almond-shaped eyes. While his face is often sporting a friendly or placid expression it can turn to pseudo-feral upon a swing of moods.


Draconic, clawed, wings that seem to be leathery in nature have three pronounced joints that originate from the apex elbow. His wings are about his height and raised slightly off the ground; however, they do not allow for flight. They do aid him in leaping, sprinting, and allow a very small amount of gliding if the wind is favorable for it. There is a tail shaped similarly to that of a lizard that protrudes from his lower back and if let completely relax would barely drag along the ground as he walked. While most of his limbs and digits are humanoid his feet are definately digitigrade in bone structure, an odd hybrid with the rest of him but he apparently makes it work very well for himself. There are short, carefully-cared for claws upon each finger and toe which he is ever-careful of and like his horns, the color of sun-bleached bone. 


Hokwing generally wears a form-fitting two piece leather jerkin and leggings that are well-worn and weathered nearly black in color. It's an odd contrast; however, when he is in civilized lands he prefers robes that often hide much of his form and flesh that is easily burned by too much sun. He wears them well, prefers white/green, and never will he wear boots.

==Background==
Abandoned shortly after being birthed of a silver dragon and human mother, Hok spent all of his childhood and most of his adolescence learning how to survive in the wilds utterly alone. It took the half-dragon nearly twenty years before he braved civilization and had very mixed feelings about it. His idealism about absolute freedom and equality didn't go over well in most places he visited and would often move on after becoming overwhelmed by the nature of most humans. He often spends just enough time in an area to learn of the culture and that it isn't for him before moving on, retreating to the wilds for years at a time before finding a new, temporary home.

One exception came when the half-dragon eagerly joined a large, powerful faction hell-bent on slaying the undead and obvious evils of the material world. He worked tirelessly in his endeavors to rid the world of these corruptions until he began understanding that he was being fed misinformation. As time went on the organization he molded himself into began to use Hok to assassinate members of opposing or challenging factions that had no true evil intent. His naivity lasted a number of years before learning what was going on and once he did the fall-out was absolutely devastating to all parties involved: Hok claims to have been killed in battle during a fit of blind rage, only to reawaken months later in the southern lands with no trace of draconic power left inside of him.
Since then Silvergild has simply returned to wander, struggling to understand everything he encounters in depth before moving on. 

Hokwing, in the end, is both a predator and guardian of the wilds. He will take only what is needed to survive while purging outside influences that dare upset the ecosystem in play. There are two sides to this hybrid of a man: civilized and feral. As he raised himself as a near-feral animal or wildling beast, there was a part of him that drew him to connect to people. It drove the half-dragon to learn how civilization worked and found a way to fit in quite well as he matured. One might assume the earlier side of him has long been lost; however, his age and maturity simply belies his true nature.
