Like his friend [[Cordwainer Beucol]], <B>Dyer Halfplow</b> kept his membership in the [[Order of the All]] a carefully-guarded secret; to most [[Myrkentown]] residents, he was simply the man responsible for dying colour into their better silks. All of this changed in late April of 206 [[Anno Regalis|AR]], when he and friend Beucol were murdered in the latter's home, despite Dyer's best efforts with a crossbow. His corpse was later discovered pinned aside Beucol's to the side of that man's [[Myrkentown]] business, and by Dyer's own crossbow bolts, the word <b>FEAR</b> inscribed into its chest.
