	Coran was initially created as a tribute to Robert Jordan's fantasy series, <i>The Wheel of Time.</I> Over time, however, the character -- as most are wont to do -- developed its own personality, as well as its own set of abilities and limitations related to channeling, drawing the interest of other players and characters. Coran was begun on Prodigy Classic in the late spring of 1998, retired when Prodigy Classic closed down, and revived when the character's player came to the [[Broken Dagger]] on [[IRC]].
