Daniel Yancy Gree III is very much the image of his grandfather, [[Daniel Gree]], with his brown hair graying as of his thirties and his medium build. Like his grandfather and his father before him, Gree is no stranger to official matters, having successfully won the Mayor's seat in a run against his father, who managed the same before him. This Gree is known for being much more sensible and fair than his predecessors, though, offering a mostly even-handed temperament in his efforts to equalize social standings and to increase public welfare. However, he does have one flaw: he shows some obvious favoritism to the local shipping industry, seeing it as the backbone of [[Colmouth]]. In the future, he will force so much reliance on this one industry to the detriment of others that it affects the local environment due to over-fishing, a move that will ultimately cost him the Mayorship to newcomer [[Treadwells_(Family)#Harvell Urias Treadwell|Harvell Urias Treadwell]] in 238.

Prior to that, this third Gree studied law at Westenford University, acting as a lawyer in his own right in [[Colmouth]] for three years, from ages twenty to twenty-three.
