The first, current Lord Steward of [[Myrken Wood]], as instituted by royal decree delivered by [[Almeric Surdemer]]in [[Anno Regalis|AR]] 214, is [[Aloisius Treadwell]].

==Responsibilities==
The responsibilities of the Lord Steward largely resemble those of the former post of [[Governor]] of [[Myrken Wood]]. There are two primary differences.

The first primary difference is the initial task to reassemble a suitable Council from the landowning gentry of the province and the common people; this Council is designed to have equal representation of both categories, based upon the population of [[Myrken Wood]]. There is to be one Councilor for every hundred families, which are estimated to be ten individuals each on average based on census results of [[Anno Regalis|AR]] 213 that totaled a little over 31,000. Therefore, there are 31 allotted seats for landowners and an equal number of commoners, totaling 62 seats alongside the Lord Steward instead of [[Myrken Wood]]'s previous total of five.

The second primary difference is the cooperation with the [[Lady Warden]], a role assigned to [[Egris Verreaux]]. The two together are meant to cooperate in the restructuring and reconstruction of [[Myrken Wood]] and its government. However, as the [[Lady Warden]] is the official representative of the Crown's presence, she serves as something of a check to the powers of the Lord Steward.
