* A sudden cold front holds Myrken Wood briefly in its icy grip. At its peak, [[Councilor]] [[Aloisius Treadwell]] is discovered missing; only several days later is he recovered, dazed and ill.

* For several weeks, [[Burel Tassnehof|Duke Burel]]'s men are harassed and slaughtered on the streets of [[Myrkentown]]. At the peak of the bloodshed, a lone witness flees one of these scenes, taking refuge in the Duke's own domain. She carries with her the scabbard of the assailant's distinctive weapon ... and his name: [[Silais Xian Abilan Devangion|Silais Devangion]].

* [[Silent Order|The Silent Order]] begins in earnest its pursuit of the elven healer, [[Aeri]]. She finds a glimmer of hope in the unlikely form of [[Jirai]].
