Selwyn is rarely without his knowing smirk and swagger, giving the impression that he is unconcerned with the task at hand. He enjoys having others doubt him and his abilities, reveling in their surprise when he does eventually display his prowess, both in and out of combat. He likes to gauge the abilities of others and learn things about them that he can use to his advantage, especially their personal philosophies, which he pokes holes in when he bests them. He is prone to monolouging and being a devil's advocate in general, traits that frustrate his comrades. He is also incredibly sadistic, even by the Bloodletters' standards.<br />
<br />
Selwyn's manifestation is referred to as Mirroring, which at a glance looks to the untrained eye as if he is copying his opponent's fighting style and countering their attacks. In actuality, he is able to anticipate a person's next thought or action to some extent and act accordingly, moving with their attacks and striking when the opportunity presents itself. Wielding an black gauntlet with sharp fingertips and spiked knuckles, he prefers close-quarters combat and excels at one-on-one fights. His weakness makes itself known when he is faced with multiple opponents, unable to Mirror more than one person's actions at a time. In addition, his ability requires intense concentration and footwork that drains his energy reserves and forces him to rest as soon as possible once the threat has been dealt with. <br />
