Background
Like most, his family is of standard Myrken stock. Gideon however was never content with being just another commoner tilling his life away on a farm. During his boyhood he had the great fortune of learning how to read and from there it deteriorated into all sorts of mischief. This continued well into his teens, with his continued reading and thirst for knowledge leading into areas others naturally would shy from.
Through out all of his time in Myrken there was one thing that remained constant (as constant as things can get when applied to the young Gideon.) and that was his "relationship" with Pember Fick. She was his anchor for a time but even their unique rapport could not keep him chained for long. In his early twenties Gideon left Myrken Wood with barely a look back.
