At a short five feet and three inches, Nova is a demihuman appearing to be around eighteen or so. She has a pallid, milk-white complexion matched by equally pale hair that falls bone-straight towards her waist. Her ears taper in an almost elvish fashion, with a quartet of small white spines protruding just above. She hardly seems a threat, with her quiet mannerisms, soft frame and withdrawn demeanor, her large, pale red eyes often brimming with curiosity. Nova tends to walk on her toes, with balance aided by her long whipcord tail.

Aberration. Abomination. Homunculus. There are many names spoken when referring to a creature such as Nova, and rightly so; she is, to say the very least, unnatural. She was not 'born' in the traditional sense, but carefully crafted through magical rituals and years of failed, twisted experiments that left the others who came first dead. Or worse.

Created long ago, she was the product of a scholar who wanted to play the role of a god, to create a fresh life in order to serve him and his needs. After so many failures, he wished to ensure that his 'child' would remain loyal for all days, and so he sealed her essence away in an amulet, assuring that she was tethered to his side, or, following his death, the side of whoever happened to possess the trinket.

Nova was brought to [[Myrken Wood]] by a man from the desert who called himself [[Adder]]. He happened to purchase the amulet from a traveling merchant and remained Nova's caretaker since.
