Aloisius Treadwell's third wife (after Blanche Sinclair Treadwell and Violet Smithwell), Raylan was a plump, older woman with a truly caring heart. She bore Treadwell two infant children, Nicholas and Arella, but she left Myrken Wood, apparently in quiet disgrace, after Richard Aengus convinced her that Treadwell was, in truth, nothing more than a lie, a made up disguise through which he was merely observing humanity. Aloisius, of course, proved to be neither, although with his wife and children now missing, he has no way to prove such to them.
