Bishop` and Kerrak both wanted Biske to pay for his crimes in the Gaol, but one [[Gerard`De`Santiago]] declared that the Council was corrupt and thus so was the law - he wanted to take Biske to the camp of the [[Hand of Myrken Wood]], where he would be judged "fairly". Several prominent people, both bystanders and not, orbited the scuffles that took place, including [[D`ran]], [[Carnath-Emory]], [[Sithis]], [[Dias]], [[Braunwyn]], [[Mikhail]], [[Cinnamon]], and [[Terregothe]]. An attempt to steal away [[Biske]] by [[Gerard`De`Santiago]] was made while [[Bishop`]] was engaged with [[Mikhail]] momentarily, but it failed when soldiers from [[The Brotherhood of Janeiro]] surrounded the place. [[Biske]] was confined in the Gaols, and [[Gerard`De`Santiago]] returned to his camp after promising [[Biske]] that they would help him.
