Born in Westenford in 105 AR, Octavius quickly rose to power due to his background as a moneychanger in town. He was elected to the Council there in 150 AR, eventually rising to hold, briefly, the role of Chief Magistrate from 158 to 160, when he retired from that seat to return to his position as Magistrate.
