'''Pariah''' is a wiry young man somewhere between twenty and thirty summers in age, fine-boned and athletic, with elven ancestry apparent in his angular features and pointed ear-tips; more unsettling are the rows of stubby horns running from each temple to the back of his head, and the spined and sinuous tail that lashes behind him, which hint at some darker taint in his blood. These traits might lead the more tolerant to call him ''plane-touched'' or ''tiefling''; those less kind might call him ''fiendborn'' or ''hellspawn'', though not to his face if they know what's good for them. Copper-hued skin and crimson eyes mark him as being ''not at all'' local, and his dark hair is tied back with leather cords into a bundle of loose braids.

Information

Basher, Bard, Blood and Bawd

Pariah is a wiry young man somewhere between twenty and thirty summers in age, fine-boned and athletic, with elven ancestry apparent in his angular features and pointed ear-tips; more unsettling are the rows of stubby horns running from each temple to the back of his head, and the spined and sinuous tail that lashes behind him, which hint at some darker taint in his blood. These traits might lead the more tolerant to call him plane-touched or tiefling; those less kind might call him fiendborn or hellspawn, though not to his face if they know what's good for them. Copper-hued skin and crimson eyes mark him as being not at all local, and his dark hair is tied back with leather cords into a bundle of loose braids.

He wears an odd assortment of outlandish garments in hues of rust and old blood, worked with swirls and spiralling knotwork. Crimson-lacquered leather plates shielding his shoulder and shins, and a pitted and rusted iron gauntlet protecting his right hand, while at his belt hang a sheathed shortsword and dagger along with myriad pouches, purses, trinkets and talismans.

For all that projects an air of arrogance, cynicism and jaded self-interest, there's a certain roguish charm about the tiefling, a fondness for banter and wordplay which makes him entertaining enough in company, though his words are often subtly barbed. He seems to take great delight in confounding, confusing and bewildering others with coils of tricky words, or bestowing upon them small trinkets with impossible properties. There's also some evidence that he possesses a small ability in matters arcane, though whether this extends beyond simple illusionry and parlour-tricks has yet to be seen.

Of All The Taverns In All The Planes...

His reasons for being in Myrken Wood are hard to guess, doubly so given his penchant for wordplay and trickery. What can be guessed is that he's some sort of traveller who's seen a great many places in his time, trading on his skills with words and song to earn his passage. For the time being he's happy enough to sing for coppers in Myrkentown's marketplace, and spend them soon after at the Broken Dagger. A drink, a song and a pretty face and he's happy to consider the evening a good one.
