Aloisius Horatio Treadwell, aged sixty-one, has led one of the most confusing lives of any of Myrken Wood's patrons, temporary or permanent. His time in Myrken Wood began approximately three years ago when he left his birthplace of Westenford, Amasynia, and it all started with his secretly impersonating dead governor Gad Phuri shortly after his arrival. As deception turned to truth, and after Treadwell was freed from a brief stay in the town jail, he found his calling in Myrken to be the same as it was back home.
Treadwell entered Myrken Wood politics. He was already well entrenched in politics from his time at home. Being the son of Octavius Treadwell, the former Chief Magistrate of Westenford, Aloisius was able to weasel his way into politics there, beginning as a mere Clerk of Court and working his way to hold the same vaunted position as his father. In Myrken Wood, Aloisius used his brash, forceful personality to work his way into the post of Councilor of Administrative Sanctions for around a year before his disappearance.
From the end of A.R. 205 and well into October of A.R. 206, a man claiming to be Treadwell reappeared in Myrken Wood; that man was Richard Aengus, fairy king of New Hibera. In short order, the revelation that Treadwell was supposedly a fairy from the very beginning caused the Myrken Council to lay claim on his house and to the toy shop he had inherited from Roderic Cliché, claiming that a fictitious entity, a disguise for a visiting fairy king, could have never held them. It also led to his wife Raylan taking their infant children, Nicholas and Arella, and leaving Myrken Wood.
In October, A.R. 206, a very much human, life-sized, and angry Aloisius Treadwell was teleported back into Myrken Wood, claiming vehemently that he had been held as a sleeping prisoner, a victim of daily concentrated doses of Fairy Dust, as punishment for eating a roasted fairy during a meeting of the Westenford Ruling Council.
Treadwell currently seeks, in some fashion or another, the chance to return this ruinous favor on the fairy king. "Let me squash the fat purple bug" has crossed the former Councilor's lips on numerous occasions.
Otherwise, Treadwell's life has been littered with problems--some familial and some magical. From the re-emergence of his sister Elizia and her daughter Elizabeth to his first divorce from his wife Blanche the disappearance of his daughter Babette, to the above trickery played on him by Richard, Treadwell has led a life that has occasionally had him wondering his place as man and father. In addition, this onetime actor turned politician turned sometime toymaker has held, like Roderic Cliché before him, a fleeting, temporary place as Myken Wood's own mythical persona of snow and jolliness, Father Winter. At the moment, however, a grumpy, greedy, self-centered Treadwell freed of such magically enforced jollity seems to relish the decadence and gluttony in which he lives out the rest of his mortal years, unhampered and untouched by magic.
As of January, A.R. 207, Treadwell has again been granted possession of Tready's Toys, which was his former toy shop in the heart of Myrken Wood, and his old cabin by the lake where he lived with Raylan and his two infants. The lands were returned as part of an agreement reached between Treadwell and Governor Helstone.
