In 189, a proposal was put forth in the town to change the name from "Furt" to "Crescent", but was not approved as the oppositioners stated that the new name would seem to derrogatorily point out the "scent" of the town.  Those in favor of the change claimed nothing could be worse than calling a papermill town, which inherently smells of fart, "Furt".

Furt is a city in Amasynia.

Known mainly for its shipwrights, Furt's economy is truly divided by land and sea. Most citizens are involved in either ship building, fishing, sea trade, logging, or papermaking.
