Years ago, when the Drow and Requiem Curae vampire clan warred over the human "livestock" of Myrkentown, Benith was better known. A newcomer then, he was strongly welcomed by Magdelena into the high ranks of her Requiem Curae. To this day, emblazoned on his left, dominant hand is the mark of that clan, irremovable even by his kind's regenerative abilities. Before his sudden disappearance months after his initial arrival, his initiation into the Requiem Curae and inability to heal his branding clean from his flesh was observed by many night-time tavern-goers to be troublesome to him, from the absent-minded wring of his fingers of the ridges of the mark to his heavy-minded sighs accompanied by grinding his palm into his pant leg as though to rub it off. | Years ago, when the Drow and Requiem Curae vampire clan warred over the human "livestock" of Myrkentown, Benith was better known. After his disappearance, rumor emerged that his initiation into the clan had been under threat of force - or at least of no other option out. This rumor of reluctance and force was further evidenced by the "murder" of another clan member by Benith, feeding on him to death in a severely taboo, disrespectful, and unforgivable act; the rumor was also justified with eye-witness that Magdelena had been attracted to Benith, willing to force his hand into their clan until he could be seduced into staying. Of course, no other soul or soulless was permitted to witness the success or failure of this attempt. Regardless, after the inter-clan slaying, Benith fled. | After his disappearance, rumor emerged that his initiation into the clan had been under threat of force - or at least of no other option out.
There is some known facts to be found on this bizarre lone vampire. The armor he wore clearly bore the emblem of "Macekebin". Macekebin is a joining of two words from one of the most ancient vampiric tongues still spoken, meaning "Massacre of Elves". The Macekebin family is perhaps the oldest clan of unbroken lineage, in fact calling themselves "family" rather than "clan". The Macekebins are notorious among many peoples, namely elves and vampires, for hunting down elves across the world for the sport of rape torture and murder. Each member of the family wears the preserved left ears of their victims pierced on a metal hoop at their belt or a cross-sash atop their armor, proudly. Benith, himself, wore 3 of these hoops - two full with dozens each, and one seeming to be freshly started, sporting a half dozen at best.
Years have passed, and Benith has returned, perhaps hearing that the vampire plague upon the town had died down. Now, the lone vampire wears a total 7 hoops - over 200 elven ears... over 200 elven victims of unspeakable horrors, some lasting unimaginable hours, before their passing. And his seventh is just beginning - with a scant half dozen ears...
