Beginings

Darkfeather was origionaly created in a MU based enviornment as a charitor to test out certain idiocinracies of the system. She became a charitor when she was discovered by one of the local dragons, whom took it upon themselves to attempt to make the then simple wood elf into a snack of draconic proportions. Needless to say, the poor thing took off running as fast as she could away from the big, scary dragon. The dragon chased her all the way to the local gathering tavern, where there were people whom tried to stop the dragon from eatting her. Thus, a charictor was born.

History

Early Life

Her early life was remarkably unremarkable. The youngest child of two loving, if a bit distant parents. She was a quiet, introverted youth, whom prefered to keep her own company. Even at that young age, she showed a remarkable talent for creating things from different materials, as it was her escape. She could see things in the materials, and grew in skill at drawing out the things she saw.

Her introverted nature made her somewhat of an outcast among her peers, often times leaving her lonely for the company of others.

Transendence

Her life all change from such a simple existance one day when she discovered the secret that her family held in the form of a stone tablet. She had heard her father mention something to the effect that the tablet was a familial responsibility, but she had never seen the object until one faithful day when everything changed. Curious a creature as she was, she snuck into her father's secret chambers, to steal a glance at the object. Really bad luck, she tripped and fell upon the thing, breaking it into pieces, and freeing what was imprisoned inside of it.

It turned out that her family responsiblity had been to the guardianship of an imprisioned demon, whom had been imprisoned inside of the tablet. When it was shattered, it released the creature. Having been imprisoned in there for so long, the demon no longer had a body of his own; thus he possessed the person closest to the shattered tablet. As luck would have it, that was Feather.

Now this demon, upset at having been imprisoned, and an evil being by nature.. He sought revenge upon the family that kept him locked within the tablet, as the one that had put him there was forever out of his reach by now. That night was a very bloody one. He possessed Feather, and, with her hands, killed her entire family, then burned down the village that had been her home for so long.

Thus he left her to deal with the consiquenses.

Consquenses

And thus, our beloved little wood elf was forced to flee from her homeland, as noone would believe that it had been the demon that had commited these horendous acts. Having the face of another does have it's advantages like that. She fled her homeland for a town a few weeks ride from the woods she grew up in. One there, she was anonomus, as most people are in cities of any decent size. And this had been the capital city of the neiboring land. Noone knew who she was there, and she set to staring her life anew.

There, she set up shop as an artisan, as had long been her calling, and eeked out a quiet existance as such. Till one day, she was out in the woods gathering wood for a new project she was working on, and was beset upon by a dragon of a less then virtous nature, intent upon having charred elf for an afternoon snack. Needless to say, the poor thing ran from the dragon as fast as she could. Given that the dragon was in the mood to play with her food, she actually made it back into town without becoming a charred snack, though the dragon persisted in the persute.

Luckily for her, she came upon a group of adventurers, which contained another dragon that apparently knew the one that was chasing her, and, in no uncertain terms, told the persuing reptile that 'two leggers' were not creatures to be eatten, as they were friends. So her hide remained intact, for the moment, at least.

She dissapeared shortly there after. Noone knew what had become of her, until a few months later, a confusing story surfaced. The elf had been found, her mind apparently stripped from her, in the hands of those whom took the law into thier own hands, accused of a short list of very brutal, horendous crimes, which, to this day, most don't speak of.

Rather then killing her outright as would normally be the punishment for the crimes which she was accused of, a bit of leanency was shown for the fact that she seem to be completely out of her mind at the time. She was imprisioned in a stone wall; put there by a bit of magic.

A Deal Made

Thus she was left alone with the true perpetrator of the crimes she was accused of. The demon that she had released from the tablet in months past. With noone outside the two of them to focus upon, the demon turn its torment upon the elf, intent upon breaking her down to where he could always be in control of her body when he could come up with a way to free them from the prison of rock and sensory depervation.

Though the elf proved to have been gavinised by the torment that the beast had already put her through, and proved much, much more difficult then he had though to break down. He never completely suceeded when the oportunity presented itself for excape. A shadowy figure came to the both of them, in what had become the battlefield of the mind they shared, and offered a deal. To the elf, he offered not only freedom from the stone prison, but freedom from the demon as well. In return, she simply had to accept his taint upon her soul, and serve as his eyes and ears, as a spy.

It turned out that he offered the same deal to the demon, that he would rid the beast of the elf, and give him her body to become his own.

Both agreed to the deal. One should never trust a devil who offers everything you want, as you never know what you're going to get. Such was the case with these two. Rather then freeing them both from the other, he fused the two of them togeather in a shoty, 'spot welded' way. They were somewhat merged togeather, though retained two seperate personalities and the like. At least at first. Slowly, the two started to merge more fully, ended up with the appearance of a half demon elf, or a hanma elf. Though it was a while in coming.

And I will finish this when I have more time, and my muse is co-operating.. :o)
