Pemberton Fick comes from a rural family that grows a modest crop for distribution in Myrken Wood. As a young girl, Pember's aspirations of the future exceeded life on the farm. Her lust for adventure began with a boy, named Gideon Fell, who spun tales of other worlds and dimensions, feeding her desire for change.
Pember shadowed Gideon for years until he decided that she and Myrken Wood had nothing to offer his desire to know more about the world, and especially of paranormal activity. Their peculiar relationship was so full of bumps and separations - something both had been accustomed to - that the news of Gideon leaving didn't mean much... until, it became obvious that he didn't intend to come back.

Now twenty six, Pember is booksmart, witty, and quick to put out a fire. She is employed by the Governor of the Myrken Wood Judiciary Council, and has other affiliations that shall be left unmentioned.
