Laws
The Myrken Wood Judiciary Council currently functions in conjunction with the Myrken Wood Constabulary to prosecute any citizen of Myrken Wood for the commission of any of the following reprehensible acts:
- Murder
- Assault and grievous bodily harm
- Kidnapping
- Rape
- Theft
- Abuse of magic, mental manipulation, and non-consensual hypnosis
- Destruction of public and personal property including but not limited to acts of arson, vandalism, and burglary
- Forgery
- Impersonation of a government official
- Extortion
- Abuse of Magic
- Evasion of Arrest
Punishments
It is the responsibility of the Governor and his Council to determine the punishment for those who do not abide with Myrken Wood's governing laws. Penalties are assigned at the whim of the Judiciar, and may include the following:
- A fine, number of shillings to be determined by the overseeing Judiciar.
- Imprisonment, for a term ranging from one day to two weeks in Myrken Gaol.
- Seizure of property.
- Up to two hours in the stocks, at Myrkentown Square.
- Public flogging, consisting of no less than three lashes, and no more than fifteen, upon the Deck at Myrkentown's center.
- Permanent banishment to Hexal (Exile Isle), the northernmost island within the Province.
- Public Execution, upon the Deck at Myrkentown's center.
