Tready's Toys

Tready's Toys was the name given to Cliché Toys, formerly owned by Roderic Cliché of Myrken Wood. It was a roughly square-shaped building, with nothing truly fanciful about its outer appearance save the sign out front (designed to look like Treadwell's face) and the life-sized Treadwell statues carved from wood and standing by the front and back doors.

Inside, the building was laid out simply and neatly: the main room was filled with shelves of toys of many kinds, all hand-made by either Roderic Cliché or Aloisius Treadwell, and ranging from overstuffed dolls to carved statues and games. The countertop for making purchases was off to the left hand side, and it was shorter than most--being just tall enough to cover part of the shorter Treadwell's stomach. A door behind the counter took wandering visitors into Treadwell's kitchen, and one from the right of there led through a bathroom and adjacent bedroom, the former with a massive bronze tub and an exit to the outside and the latter with an excessively cushiony, comfortable bed.

The shop currently sits just as it did on Treadwell's last day in it: full of abandoned, though still in good working condition, toys and trinkets. The food would, of course, have spoiled in the kitchen, and there would be dust pretty much everywhere by now. Officially, the store was closed when Treadwell's former properties were seized by Suede Roschen in his role as Councilor of Administrative Sanctions. This followed the revelation of Treadwell's position of being a secretly disguised Richard Aengus of New Hibera, and this action is currently stuck in the middle of trying to be resolved by Coriolanus Helstone, resident lawyer and Councilor.
