Hark ye to this tale of dreadeful beasts, known to some as Fell Thoughtspellers, known to others yet as Oceanic Atrocities, and yet bearing amongst themselves the name Illithid. Few are those unfortunate men and women who have encountered these dread atrocities; fewer yet are those who have emerged with yet life in their veins and souls that may rightly still be named Human, and let it be understood that none emerge from encounter with these horrors unscathed, not even the most virile yet amongst us.

Fear ye the touch of their witches' minds, for that they compell mere mortal men to dreadful acts and strange abominations!
