Inquisition of Knives

The Inqusition of Knives, an integral part of the Blight of Thorns occured on 12th Summer's Ebb (August) of 522 C.E., and began with a bloody sacking of the Cder Sunae Monastery in Tannhauser, after Kyue Relenka decreed himself the new Pontifex of Eredware the previous week following the deposing of Theyrenius, the previous Pontifex. Lead by Jae Havara and a nameless traitor to the Order, nearly half of the members were culled or converted into Blackguards by the invading force. The entire monestary was leveled by the force which included legions of various undead, traitors, and the Republican Army which had sworn fealty to Kyue Relenka.

Following the sacking of the Monestary, many members of the Cder Sunae swore their allegience to Kyue Relenka or fled into exile, scattering themselves across the world or living in hiding in the old Republic of Eredware. The Inqusition of Knives also slaughtered hundreds, if not thousands, of priests, prelates, cardinals and other religious figures in the Church of Elyndhor and forcibly converted nearly all of the laypeople and parishoners to the Cult of Blight. Haar and a number of other young Cder Sunae escaped the purge by either fleeing from the Monastery or being away on various errands for the Cder Sunae Order.
