In response, Captain Daniels places the Councilor under house arrest, a fact of which the 'indisposed' Councilor contrives to remain ignorant.
- A Council degree of unknown origins finds its way to the Captain's desk, detailing the necessity to reduce the Order of Straka's funding by some 20%. On discovering this, the Councilor for Defence and Civil Security, Kerrak al'Nerun, supplies a hundredweight of Thessilane gold to the Order, in compensation.

- The drow Jirai is able to tentatively acquire the services of barrister Helstone for her companion, Councilor Roschen.
