The quiet town of Foggy Bottom has been struck by a sorcerous plague of madness lasting three full days and resulting in significant property damage and loss of life; assailed by nightmarish memories and visions, the townsfolk were robbed of their senses and turned upon each other and themselves in their anguish. This atrocity is believed to be the work of the reviled Teron Ashfiend, who remains at large after the recent assault upon his lair at the Priory of Snowstill. The assault upon Snowstill Priory took place as planned, with forces from the Shepherd Knights of the Silver Staff, the Gray Lancers and the Myrkentown Constabulary besieging the Ashfiend in his lair. The ghoul's undead army was eventually defeated, though at considerable cost to the assaulting forces; despite the expedition's failure to slay the Ashfiend, the effort to rescue the kidnapped barmaid Teddi proved successful and the ghoul was driven from the Priory's ruins, leading the mission to be declared an overall victory. --majic13 09:57, 27 August 2007 (PDT)

Malaroth Deucalios finalizes plans to move against the Council's wishes and lead an assault upon the Priory of Snowstill where the Ashfiend is known to make his lair. The Shepherd Knight has asked any capable people would fight for Myrken Wood's safety to step forward and join the attack. Their encounter has forged what will undoubtedly be a life-long loathing for one another.
