The arrival of Kostroma and his retinue. Having made the long journey in order to replace Hawkesbury as King's Agent to Myrken Wood, Kostroma and his attendants waste no time in occupying the long-neglected Kelsaen House.

Kostroma's first gambit: a royal missive reminding interim Governor Burnie of the requirements which Myrken Wood must meet in order to retain its independence. A demand for immediate Gubernatorial elections is included.

Initially accompanying Kostroma, a company of the King's Own have taken up residence in Myrken Wood, their official responsibility being border patrols and a living counter to the possibility of Thessilane incursions.

Announced across Myrkentown by means of posters and excited gossip: the new Judiciary Council. The Council, hand-chosen by interim Governor Burnie, makes its first order of business the official election of that man to the position of Myrken Wood's Governor.

Following his attack upon Councilor Treadwell, Catch is committed to a cell in the Myrkentown Gaol. His stay culminates in its destruction.
