Masaccio - known only by the single name - is a slippery character, motives unreadable. There's really no reason to assume any less than noble ones, considering his service to Myrken Wood during his residence; yet...there's a certain dark quality to him, akin to the Drow.

Other Description

Masaccio is a master swordsman, favoring the rapier. Born in a land where fortitude came in extreme amounts, combatants in the desert were able to take great punishment and injury and still swing their own blade - Masaccio adopted the rapier for its speed and finesse, and ultimately for its ability to strike sudden, mortal blows.

History

In Amasynia

Masaccio came to Myrken Wood seemingly out of thin air - he hails from the deserts of the far south and came to enroll with the Order of Straka. His swordsmanship was incredible, and he was hired into the ranks without much question - though he was watched, for a time. As that time passed and Masaccio proved himself an asset and a fine guardsmen, he was given more than one special assignment, including protecting Sill while she was in Straka's custody.

Masaccio was also the subject of an interrupted trial, accused of treason for an off-hand comment made about the Governor Altias Bromn's health to Ariane Carnath-Emory. The trial was interrupted by demonic forces which Masaccio helped protect the Council against, and no attept was ever made to resume the trial after the incident.

Before Amasnyia

Masaccio's past is unknown. He hails from the desert land of Atatar, to the far southwest of Myrken Wood, but there is little to no information regarding his presence in Amasynia other than the events in Myrken Wood.

Current Status

Masaccio has been seen around Myrken Wood, but no one is quite sure what he's doing.
