- Brother Cythwyllthfyr and the highlander Kildrummy make their final exodus from Amasynia.
- An airship of some 150' in length sets down in Myrken Wood's Silver Lake. The news of this soon reaches Lieutenant Kilborn...and Almais Lansing, captain of the airship Legacy. With several of her crew-members, she travels via skiff to greet its Captain, one Piotr de'Varrin. She soon discovers the identity of this new vessel (the Hawk's Talon), and that it is the property of Duke Burel of Thessilane -- who is presently one of its passengers.
- A half-elf hunter, recently travelled from the lands of the Tobotu bushmen, makes his return to Myrken Wood, his unusual garb -- a matter of beaded leathers and fang-and-claw jewelery -- alarming some of those who see him. He soon takes up residence in the place he'd called his, decades ago: a cavern dug deep into the core of one of Myrken's many hills, at the heart of which rests a blood-stained altar.
