Description
Glendora Karakus is a religious young woman of 19 years whose duty is to proselytize for the One True Faith. She carries herself quietly in public and can be naïve and quite the apologist. A brief glance shows a figure of unremarkable height, donned in shapeless attire. A storm grey wool cloak covers the length of her body while her preferred grey scarf, which she wraps loosely under her chin and over her shoulder, covers her head. Her healthy, bronzed skin remains concealed under a long sleeved grey frock and a faded brown sleeveless surcote complete with well-worn brown boots. Her close-set dark eyes usually fixate on reading books - and secretively on townsfolk - due to her observant, yet reserved, nature. She carries a wax-stained brown leather bag, containing handwritten excerpts of her favorite religious texts as well as salvaged tomes.
Background
Origins
Glendora was born and abandoned on the doorsteps of the Monastery of St Thecla in Myrken Wood in late Feb 195 AR. Her childhood and adolescence were spent mostly secluded and in service of the Church and the One True Faith. Daily life was spent in prayer, study, or work. Her work duties were to be a laundress for the Church, laundering the clothing and bedding. Years of lifting heavy, water-soaked linens from the river have left her with better than average upper body strength. (More)
The Broken Dagger
After leaving the Monastery of St Thecla, Glendora traveled South by foot and found herself in Myrkentown. She decided to lodge at Broken Dagger tavern on the 12th day of Nov 214 AR to take shelter from the storms. But why this Inn and not the local Church?
The Present
Glendora is currently spending her time between the Chapel of St. Iona in Myrkentown and the Broken Dagger tavern, as she waits for the weather to clear in order to continue traveling South.
