The personal estate of architect Sylvius Duquesne, adjacent to Darkenhold, Aithne once featured an elegant mansion built by Duquesne’s reclusive grandfather, Arddor. Upon his death, Duquesne inherited the estate and eventually relocated from his homeland, Lanesse, to Myrken Wood to reside there on a semi-permanent basis in the year 206. The mansion was destroyed by explosion and fire in 207, and afterward Duquesne made his residence at Darkenhold. Though he commenced work on a new mansion at Aithne in 213 and completed fully in 214, Duquesne does not claim the mansion as his primary residence but uses it on occasion for entertaining guests or for hosting private meetings.

Much of the estate’s acreage is forest and meadowland, though a great deal is committed to agricultural production. It is inhabited by tenants of local and foreign origin, including Duquesne’s own countrymen who fled Lanesse during the invasion and consequent warfare executed by Lanesse's neighboring realm, Nnuria, between 207 and 215.

It is most notable for its cultivation of nut trees, hardwoods, barley used in the brewing of beers, and now-established vineyards from which Aithne wine is now produced.
