Appearance
Anastasia is a very tall, lithe woman. She tends to wear very revealing outfits because she can't really stand heat. At all. She's also very pale and wears lots of skulls as homage to her northern ancestry on her father's side. As she's traveling, she wears a large black cloak that suitably covers her ears and her hair and most of her body.
Background
Nathaniel DeMarque, a young noble visionary decided to emigrate from the crumbling feudal empire to carve out his own fiefdom in the northern wastelands across the ocean to the West. During trade talks, as well as an effort to make peace with the surrounding neighbors, Nathaniel was able to make himself somewhat prominent to a tiny country full of White Elves, known as Valacordia. While there, Nathaniel won the heart of a fair elven maiden named Aeralwyn Wintersong and together they had a daughter named Anastasia.
Anastasia, a half-elf who adores the bleak beauty of her northern homeland, grew older but felt repressed and far too sheltered around the white elves that were seemingly mostly xenophobic, save for her mother's family. One day, Anastasia's beloved cousin, Cylanthra Wintersong, was killed and all that was left were traces of blood. After investigating what she could, Anastasia came to the conclusion that the culprit was a vampire. After speaking with the mystics of the country, no one could give an explanation of what happened or where this vampire was from. Desperate to get answers, as well as learn more about her father's heritage, Anastasia leaves Valacordia in hopes of adventure and knowledge. Something that could give her peace after her cousin's death...
