Cecil Ritter
Information

Cecil Ritter is the picturesque Paladin; his presence is only outweighed by his dedications to his duties as a Paladin - the protection of the innocent, the destruction of evil, and upholding the ways of the Zorlin - the Order from which Cecil was born and trained. He is somewhat naive in his faith, though he is not inexperienced with the worldly - with his brother, Barret, Cecil has been venturing the lands for over thirty years.

Appearance

Cecil has strong, but unpronounced features - high cheeks, a narrow, cleft chin, flat (as opposed to glossy) black hair, a straight nose and cerulean blue eyes.

Cecil is tall and lean, though his decorated armor makes him appear much larger. breastplate attached to a couple shoulder guards bears the Zorlin insignia, only to repeat twice more on the hilt of his blade and on the blade's sheath. The plate is of a lighter type. Hard leather, cut and creased so as not to hinder movement covers the rest of his torso with reddish-brown hues that continues down to his boots, which were matched to the dark gray of the plate. A dark indigo-rich cape completes the outfit. He wears no gloves; just smooth wrist guards that hold down the loose ends of the chain mail running down each arm from under the shoulder plates.

He is a fitting visage of power, protection and faith that came with the armor of a Zorlin Paladin...when he's not trying to be discreet underneath a large cloak.

Cecil looks to be somewhere in his early to mid forties, and looks very much like his brother, Barret Ritter.

Other Description

One of the key components of the Zorlin training - starting from birth - is the extrordinary ability to 'hear' the vibrations of solid weapons (and other similarly sized solid objects). Along with this training, every Paladin is given an Oricalchum Blade when they come of age. The Blade is a thick sword, suited for stabbing or defending than slashing or cutting. Along the flat sides of the sword are some type of geometric runes.

The Oricalchum Blade was specifically engineered so that, coupled with the abilities of a Zorlin Paladin, the Paladin can strike his own sword to start a vibrational tune within the blade that will destructively interfer with the target weapon - resulting in that weapon's destruction on contact with the Oricalchum Blade. Those of the Zorlin Cathedral simply call it 'the technique'.

Though older Paladins have gained the ability to hear the songs of such weapons, the Blade's target range is only twice its own size or smaller and doesn't work on complicated or wooden weapons.

History

In Amasynia

Cecil followed his brother toward the kingdom of Trae Kelsa and eventually ended up in Myrken Wood, where he lost his brother's trail. He has found, however, a great deal of conflicts within the woodland territory - enough to put his mission on hold and see what can be done for the troubled citizens of Myrken Wood.

Before Amasnyia

Forthcoming...eventually!

Current Status

The Paladin is investigating the Drow and other rumors of things plaguing Myrken Wood.
