Description

Human Form: Cray is a most alluring creature. The man has hawk-like features; sharp to a degree. Neon ice blue eyes, so bright they nearly glow, take in every detail of his surroundings. Raven blue hair falls down to the middle of his back, fading into baby blue tips that stop at his waist. He wears embroidered silken clothing that looks fit for royalty, or at the very minimal, nobles. His every movement, every word; indeed everything about him, screams gentleness.

Dragon Form: Cray no longer has a Dragon Form

Background

Origins

Cray was born during a very violent part of his world's history, the Impergium; what they called the series of Demon invasions. The only mortal Platinum, Cray would have been raised as the king, were it not for the pre-emptive strike that happened twenty years before the Demon Wars started.

The demons had long had a prophecy of when the Demon Gates would open, and within that prophecy was a few lines about a shining light. A Mortal Dragon with Platinum scales. When Cray's egg was laid, it's color matched his own. Word quickly spread through first the Draconic Empire. Dragons came from all over the world to see this miracle. Before Cray was even hatched he was pronounced King of the Dragons, by the current King, who'd had a Bahamut-granted vision of what Cray would eventually become. In time, word spread to the other races, who also began to make the pilgramage to see this most unusual happening.

After Cray hatched, all the visitors were told to go back to their homes, and the Clan that Cray was born to began celebrating. It was when the Clan was sleeping that a large group of Demons moved into the cave, and began the systematic slaughter of the entire Clan. The battle was fierce, and both sides had heavy casualties. In the end, due to sheer numbers, the Demons won. Before they did, however, a Solar; an Angel of incredible power, interviened as much as he was allowed. He took Cray, at the behest of his mother, and vanished.

Cray grew up traveling with Mikain, the Solar who had rescued him. Mikain taught him alot, most importantly how to fight with his brain. How to win with his brain. Cray began discovering his own unique Draconic abilities at a very young age. He discovered that his breath weapon was actually no Breath Weapon at all, unless it was unleashed upon something Unholy. Otherwise it merely healed what he breathed upon. He became proficient with all the weapons his world had to offer.

After years of training, Cray was returned to his kind, who'd thought him dead for all this time. The Demon Wars began in earnest. Massive portals began opening up all over the world, unleashing the Hordes upon the world. Cray, once returned to his kind, was quickly installed as King. A series of battles while his kind were preparing showed the world just how unprepared the other races were when it came to dealing with the Demon Horde. Once the Dragons had gathered, they began fighting; lead by Cray.

The first battle was a crushing defeat for the Demons. They were attacking Castle Hrael, in the far north. They'd not yet breeched the second wall when Cray, and his forces arrived. Diving headlong into the battle, Cray and his army utterly destroyed the Demons, without loosing a single Dragon. The people of Hrael were astonished, and joined their army with Cray's.

The next battle took place a little further south, in Elfarr Forest. Again, the Demons were utterly defeated; though this time a few Dragons were killed aswell. Again, the army of the people who'd been saved pledged itself. This time, however, Mikain; the Solar, flew into the Demon Gate, and sealed it; an ability he hadn't shown before. This cycle continued for months untill it was Cray leading the Army of the entire world; a massive conglomeration of many different speices.

More months of battle ensued, and many more Demon Gates were sealed. Cray's army swelled from thousands, to hundreds of thousands of souls. The demons tried many times to assasinate Cray, all their attempts were thwarted by Mikain, and Cray's personal Guard.

In time, they made their way to the Master Demon Gate, larger than all the others, with a constant stream of thousands of exiting demons. The battle was extream, and both sides had a multitude of casualties. At the climax of the battle, Cray, Mikain, and a group of the most powerful warriors in the world made their way into the Demon Gate. Inside everyone but Mikain, and Cray ended up loosing their lives. The culmination of the battle was a face off between Cray, and the Demon King himself. Using every bit of his power, Cray managed to defeat him, and seal the last of the Demon Gates. The amount of power had another very unwanted effect. Cray was torn from his place in the multiverse, and dumped in another world.

Since then, he has spent eons trying to find his way home, jumping from world to world. It was on one of these worlds that he gained his compulsion. After a fierce battle, a Witch laid a curse upon him. Forever after, he would be unable to harm others, without harming himself. He would be unable to stop himself from coming to the aid of injured people around him; unless he wished to feel a massive amount of pain.

The curse could only ever be broken when Cray found a mate, not of his race, that truely accepted him for what he is.

The Broken Dagger

Cray came to the land of Myrkenwood, and the Broken Dagger as he came to most other worlds he has been to; by trying to cast a spell to take him to his Homeworld. The spell never works right. He currently works at the Remedium, healing those he can with both his knowledge of biology, herbology, and when nessecary, his Magic.

The Present

Recently, Cray was forced back into his home world by the will of Bahamut himself. To him, many years passed; though only a few months passed in the world of the Dagger. Another war was waged upon his homeworld, with him once again leading the armies. It all ended in distaster this time. His world was almost completely destroyed, and Cray wished to leave. Bahamut gave Cray a choice. He could stay, and remain as he was...or he could leave, and have the Draconic side of his being completely stripped away. Cray chose the latter, and indeed he is no longer a Dragon; though he is also no longer subject to the curse; allowing him to use his full combat expertise. Now he has returned, for his love; hoping she still awaits him.
