Larose

The Larose Family

Location

The Larose Family farm has been about a mile south of Lake Mist in Thessilane for several generations. With the farming village of Bishop Woods a few miles further south it's a rather isolated farm, but close enough to the town for them to have access to most things they need. It's a very safe place with the mountains to the west, lake to the north, and the large population and fortresses to the south along the Red Hills.

Occupation

The farm primarily raises livestock, mostly cows and sheep, but they also have chickens and a few horses. Trade is generally good, every spring a large portion of the cattle and sheep are herded down to town for sale to one of the many caravans that come through on their way even further south to the more populated areas. Since there is often conflict along the borders of Thessilane, people are always needing food.

This arrangement keeps thing generally peaceful though, and while the family isn't rich by any means, they have enough trade to pay for yearly maintenance on their farm, and arrange many exchanges between the other local farmers for a variety of crops to live comfortably.

History

Until recently the Larose farm was much smaller, and it wasn't until Zane Larose inherited the farm from his father at an unexpected early age that things started to pick up. He had recently wed to Maris, a kind young woman from town, and when she moved out to join him on the farm they both were ambitious enough to put a lot of time and energy into improving things. They decided to have a large family, twelve children in all. Ten of the children grew to adulthood, and while most of the older siblings took on various responsibilities in inheriting the family business and starting their own families, many of the younger decided to persue other interests.

Most notable amongst them are the two youngest boys, twin brothers that decided to leave home at the age of sixteen to see the world outside of Bishop Woods. After two years of traveling Braddock and Bryce eventually decided to settle in Myrken Wood. Later they were joined by their sister, Larken.

Getting Involved

Many of these characters are non-player characters and are typically only referenced by the actively played Larose brothers (and one sister). That's not to say the characters never would be player characters, but the odds are unlikely.
