Description

Alice Treadwell is, in many ways, a female image of her husband, Aloisius Treadwell. They share the same birthday and similar measurements for their clothing. She, however, is the sensibly dressed one in the family, having a much greater knowledge of practical, reasonable clothing. Her attitude is generally much more sober and rational to Aloisius's flightier, more emotional ways.

Background

Origins

Alison Olivia Chopin was born in Ricathair, Amasynia, where she lived for much of her life before a brief time in Westenford. There she met one Bartholomew Drivel III, who, like the rest of the Drivel line, would ultimately prove to be a distant cousin of the Treadwells. It was through Bartholomew that she would ultimately meet Aloisius. An initially cold meeting eventually blossomed into a fully devoted love affair, with Mr. Drivel soon divorcing her and leaving Alice behind. She would shortly thereafter marry Aloisius on November 6, 207 AR. Four dangerously risky pregnancies would follow despite the advanced years of both parents, with two pairs of twins alternating with two single children, the last of which would be born in 214 AR.

The Broken Dagger

Mrs. Treadwell stays far from the Broken Dagger. Having young children to raise keeps her quite busy at home, a place she would much rather be.

The Present

Alice is aware of her husband's position in and importance to the Church of Tubbius. To that end, she attempts to follow, at least loosely, the dictates of the Church; however, Alice is a very rational woman not given much to religious faith. Her devotion to Tubbius and the other forms of The Glutton that Aloisius embodies wavers and falters, at best, and it borders on cynical, realist disbelief at worst.

Plots

As a non-player character, Alice Treadwell generally plays no role in ongoing storylines. However, she does make very brief, singular appearances with her husband at formal occasions, such as balls and banquets, as necessary.

Season of Dreams

The Alice of the Season of Dreams plotline for the Golden City of Myrken is much the same as her waking counterpart, with one significant difference so far: she expresses a notable concern for her husband's mental and verbal "slipping," something she is monitoring carefully alongside his personal physician, Doctor Bill Jacobson.
