Description
The character's typical appearance - physical features, posture, demeanour, typical mode of dress, voice, attitude. What a stranger would first notice upon encountering the character.
Malaika at first glance is a gorgeous twenty eight year old woman. Her tanned olive skin, her slender body, and her long flowing platinum blonde hair that almost appears white. She has dark ominous green eyes, all to shed the appearance of a ominous beauty. Problem is, that first glance only seems to last for a few seconds. You then notice a single sharp ivory horn sticking out awkwardly from the left side of her head. You'll then also notice she's trying to supplex a boulder. Yep. She often wears loose clothing that she can feel comfy in, on the warm days that she's so used to she'll wear just a simple white top that just covers her chest only, a thin light orange shawl around her shoulders. She also wears simple brown pants and a similar style light orange shawl wrapped around her waist. Her hair is usually down, though sometimes she'll put it in a quick french braid or bun. Her voice is light and airy, pleasant to the ears, though when she goes into battle or becomes competitive in any way her voice gets far more aggressive and deeper. From just looking at her you wouldn't know this, but once you get to know her, or maybe just grab at her horn, you'll notice how sensitive it is, as if touching it or lightly moving it is incredibly painful for her, which well, it kinda is. Malaika has always since she was born been a fighter, problem is she's never been a very good one. She'll raise her fists if she thinks it can solve a problem, and even if it can she usually fails since she's a mediocre warrior at best.
Background
Origins
Where the character came from; their childhood and adolescence, their family circumstances, their lineage.
Malaika Nagi came from a long line of warriors, well that's a lie. It was farmers, she came from a long line of simple fruit farmers. She lived her entire life on a small farm a little off the small town of Sullibon. When she was born she nearly ripped her mother's stomach open due to her sharp horn, but was somehow given birth to without any complications, the people that helped with the birth absolutely baffled how any of that turned out okay. Most of town members were highly suspicious of the new born baby that had a single sharp horn on her head, some turned their head entirely from the family and shunned them, while others didn't much care, they were smart enough to understand that hey, birth defects happen, not that kids fault. And yeah, they're right. It isn't some kind of secret dark magic, it's just a birth defect that they don't really understand the science behind. Malaika spent her childhood as a beautiful child that was adored by her parents, though they quickly came to realize how dangerously feisty she was, as well as how dangerously dumb she was. She usually got hurt quite a bit, breaking bones, face planting into dirt, scraping knees you name it and she probably experienced it. Her parents constantly worried about her, knowing one of these days she just might break her neck. She was never any help with farming, though she was always forced to help out. Her education was fairly limited due to her parents just being normal farmers and living in a small town, there wasn't all that much that she seemed to have to know. Her mother however had books, lots of books in fact, most that she had handwritten herself. Leather bound stories told of brave warriors from their land doing noble deeds, they were called missionaries. Of course the books painted the missionaries in a rather... odd light, making them seem brave and amazing in every sense of the word. How they'd risk all of themselves to save innocents, which wasn't really necessarily true. As she grew and grew, reading more and more until she read it all, then read it all again. She developed a dream. A dream to travel across the lands and become a true brave and noble warrior. A missionary. When she reached the age of 23 she finally had saved up enough currency to tell herself that she could make it out there alone, she packed up all she could carry and all she could pile on a poor mule, told her parents she loved them and would return to visit them as much as she could, and set off for a journey of a lifetime which would lead her to what she believed was her destiny, to become a missionary. In her five years of travel, she well, learned very little. For a year she stayed in one town to train how to fight with a scam artist. She worked hard to pay for the training while he profited and taught her utter garbage. After awhile he decided he was done with this woman and kept the money, then of course robbed her blind and skipped town. Malaika was of course devastated, she believed they were robbed and had kidnapped her training master! Of course she'd have to save him! Then again she had no leads so that kinda was pushed down the list of things she probably needed to do. She was fairly lucky in her first year, but it all changed when she started visiting other towns, she was sometimes driven out by mobs of people that believed her horn just made her evil, she of course shrugged it off and just hopped towns, sometimes staying in one town for a few months to just relax, all while still on her mission! Eventually she just realized that five years had past and she was nowhere near her goal, she felt a tad lost, the determination draining, however, she couldn't let that defeat her. She knows she can do it, if anyone ever can it was her. She believed she is the greatest warrior of her lifetime, or perhaps, just believes she has the positional to be, she'll never give up, even if it kills her, which it probably will.
The Broken Dagger
How the character found their way to the Myrken Wood and the Broken Dagger tavern. Significant events experienced since their arrival.
Lots of wandering and just a pinch of pixie dust (kidding, it was just wandering and pure luck).
The Present
Poor as all heck, the inns were more expensive than she was used to, then again the other inn keepers were usually older women that took pity on her and let her stay the night. She sometimes sleeps in the street, or hides out where ever the heck she can find, she needs to survive yo. She has no one important to her, the only people important to her are her family, not really any friends, which can be somewhat lonely at times.
