Information

Appearance

Kira is normally clad in all black - black cloak, black shirt, black pants, a black leather vest, black leather gloves, and heavy black boots. Her vest is probably a bit too tight, as it secures a pair of enormous breasts. Since her arrival on Trae Kesla she has refused to dress in anything considered "womanly". Her heavy pants and thick cloak are more ideal for colder weather, which she switches out for lighter but equally tough fabrics during the hottest months of summer.

She is always armed to the teeth. She wears several different belts and straps around her waist to hold the myriad of weapons she enjoys carrying. A pair of swords hangs from her left hip, one a Schiavona rapier with a basket-hilt, the other a longsword made of an enchanted alloy stronger than typical weapons-grade steel. A black crossbow hangs on her right. Pockets and pouches along her belt hold crossbow bolts of several different designs, money, and even a mundane first aid kit. There are also many different types of daggers, both hidden and in plain sight.

She has a number of scars covering her body, but most are hidden by her clothes. The backs of her hands sport a few large ones, but the most obvious one is on the left side of her face, extending from her cheekbone straight back through her left ear and into her hair behind her ear. A bit of magical healing has prevented the ear itself from bearing any of the scar.

She is almost always chewing on or smoking a cigar. She prefers more expensive tobaccos, though she will settle for a cheap cigarette if she can't get anything else.

She owns an exotic-looking steppe horse of ancient breed, with striped legs, a stiff, coarse mane, and a bold stripe down his spine. His tack is high-quality leather, also dyed black to match everything she wears. His name is Fenton.

History

Kira was born "in the boonies, just outside the sticks." It was a lonely life, with her closest neighbors hours away, and the closest town a half-day's ride. She does not remember her father; he either died or disappeared when she was very young. Her mother was extremely strict and unforgiving of Kira taking part in any activity she did not consider feminine. This led Kira to be extremely rebellious, because all her mother wanted to do was teach her how to be a woman and marry her off to a well-to-do lad so she could move out of their tiny house and be able to afford living in a city.

When Kira was sixteen, she ran away from home. She eventually met up with a band of mercenaries who pitied her. She could cook better than any of them, so they took her in and eventually taught her how to fight. She spent the next ten years becoming a crack-shot with any ranged weapon.

The group eventually dissolved. Kira stuck with one partner until he was killed by a band of thieves in the middle of the night. She went on a rampage, murdering every single one of them without mercy. For the next four years she traveled alone and made quite a name for herself.

Sundown

Kira's travels eventually landed her in the city of Sundown where she met Drache. She decided traveling constantly was more of a pain in the ass than it was worth, and set about amassing a small pile of gold working in and out of the city.

During one fateful confrontation that involved a dragon Goddess and a vampiric drow priestess, Kira and Drache were banished from the world.

Myrken

Kira has no recollection of where or when she arrived on the Amasynian Peninsula. She wandered for nearly a year, trying to build herself a new reputation as an expert marksman and worthy mercenary. Rumors that a red half-dragon had taken up residence in Myrkentown led her to see if they were true, and she was finally reunited with her best friend.

She currently spends most of her time running escorts for travelers who can afford her, usually wealthy merchants. The rare occasions she visits the Broken Dagger she mostly keeps to herself and her rum.
